Maisy, Misty, Mary Rose and Mayflower of River Valley

These gals are purebred Scottish Highland Cattle, registered with the Canadian Highland Cattle Society.  They have been live covered (pasture bred) by our bull Mars of Norland Brae since July 1st and will be offered by auction October 2026. Our fold carries genetics from some of the oldest Scottish folds including Balmoral Castle, Benmore, Achnaloich, Torloisk, Mingary, Cladich, Douneside, Glengorm, Orsary, Leys Castle and Scone Palace.

Our cattle are strictly pasture raised, outdoors in the sun and on a mixed grassland pasture of grass, forbs and brush.  That means the cow’s gut micro biome and rumen stays healthy.  This produces a healthier cow.

We breed and sell Canadian Highland Cattle Society registered heifers, purebred steers and a limited number of registered breeding bulls on a yearly basis. River Valley Ranch stock are Certified Organic by PACS. Please check in by contacting us for stock that may be for sale.
